Anything you model in Piece Forge can go on the shelf. Publishing is free on every plan; you choose whether to give it away or price it, and which licence it carries.
Before you start
- A design saved in Piece Forge, with no unsaved changes (see Piece Forge).
- To price a design, payouts connected: on the marketplace's Sell page, accept the seller agreement (Accept & continue), then press Set up payouts. Free designs need none of this.
- Waypoint Realms keeps 10% of a sale, card processing included; the rest is paid out to you.
Publish a design
Start from Piece Forge, or the shop
In Piece Forge, with the design saved, press Publish to the Design Shop › — the form opens with that design picked. Or open the Design Shop and press Publish a design.Choose the design and name it
Pick it under Design (if it isn't already) and give it a Title (3 to 120 characters).Say what it's from
Series (optional) — the shelf can be filtered by it.Describe it
A Description: what it is, what it takes to build, anything a buyer should know.Set a price
Price (USD, 0 = free), up to $500 in 50-cent steps. It stays at 0 until payouts are connected.Pick the licence
Personal use (the default), Commercial use, or Remix allowed (CC BY). The summary under it says what buyers may do.Publish
Press Publish. The shop takes a snapshot of the design as it is now — keep sculpting your copy afterwards without changing what buyers get.
Check it worked
The design appears under on the shelf on your My listings tab, and on the Browse shelf for everyone. (There's no confirmation message; the form simply clears.)
Look after your listings
Add a photo of it built
On My listings, open Add a photo of the piece built and upload one. It shows with the listing, so buyers see what the pattern makes; uploads are screened.Edit
Edit changes the title, series, price and description. The licence can't be changed once published.Retire or relist
Retire takes it off the shelf — anyone who already has it keeps their copy. Relist puts it back.
Publishing someone else's design
A design you got from the shop can only be published as your own version if its licence is Remix allowed (CC BY); your listing then credits the original maker. Otherwise Publish to the Design Shop › doesn't appear and Piece Forge says Its licence doesn't allow publishing a version of it.
If something's off
- “The Design Shop is paused for now…”
- Publishing is off until the shop reopens. Your listings stay as they are.
- I can't set a price
- The price field stays disabled until payouts are connected — Connect payouts to price a design — free publishing works without it. Set them up from the marketplace's Sell page.
- Publish to the Design Shop › isn't in Piece Forge
- Save the design first; the link only shows for a saved design with no unsaved changes, whose licence allows it.
- “Nothing in your library yet…”
- Model a piece in Piece Forge and save it, then publish it here.
- A listing says “Removed by staff”
- A moderator took it down; the reason is shown beside it, and you'll have had a notification.
