Finish a build and share it
Mark a build Finished and Public to put it in your Cosplay Portfolio and on its series and character pages, and make a share link anyone can open without an account.

- ~4 min
- New to it
- Part 8 of 8
There's no separate upload to show a finished costume: the build itself becomes the portfolio piece.
Before you start
- A build with some photos (see part 5).
- For a share link: you're 18 or over, with a birthdate on your account.
Put it in your portfolio
Set the status
In the menu at the top of the build, choose Finished. The finish date is recorded.Make it public
In the menu beside it, choose Public.
Check it worked
The line at the foot reads β showing in your Cosplay Portfolio. The build shows in your portfolio and the Community view, and on the pages for its series and character β Every β¦ build β at the top opens the character's.
What a public build shows
Other signed-in members can open a public build and see its pieces and costs, tasks, links and photos. Reference images, lens details, your logged time (unless you show the total) and the after-the-con lists stay yours alone.
Share it outside Waypoint Realms
Make the link
On the finished build, under share outside waypoint, press Make a share link.Send it
Press Copy and send the link to a commissioner, a con judge or a friend. They don't need an account.
Check it worked
The link opens a page with the build alone: its title, character and series, your name, the finish date and con, the credits on the whole build, and its photos with their captions. Search engines are asked not to list it.
Stop sharing
Stop sharing turns the link off at once. Setting the build back from Finished also stops it working; finish it again and the same link works again.
If something's off
- βMembers under 18, or without a birthdate on file, can't share builds outside Waypoint Realms.β
- Add your birthdate in your account settings if you're 18 or over.
- There's no share panel
- It shows only on a Finished build.
- A photo credit is missing from the share page
- Credits added in the credits panel to a single photo aren't shown there; credits on the whole build and those typed on a photo as you upload it are.
- My build isn't in my portfolio
- It needs both Finished and Public.
