Selling your own things

List a game, get paid through Waypoint Realms, and know what the fee is and when the money lands.

Anyone can sell on the Marketplace β€” you do not need a partner plan and you do not need a business. You need somewhere for the money to go, and to agree to the seller terms.

Before your first sale

  1. Agree to the seller terms

A short set of rules about what may be sold and what you are promising a buyer. You will be asked once, at marketplace policies.
  2. Set up payouts

We use Stripe to pay you. You will be sent through Stripe's onboarding to confirm your identity and add a bank account. It is Stripe that holds those details, not us.
  3. Wait for it to be ready

Stripe usually confirms in minutes, occasionally a day. Until it does, you can list items for local pickup but not for shipping β€” there is nowhere to send the money yet.

Listing an item

  1. Describe it honestly

New listing asks for a title, category, condition and photos. Condition is the thing buyers complain about β€” β€œgood” with a photo of the damage beats β€œlike new” and an argument.
  2. Choose how it changes hands

Ship, local pickup, or both. Add a shipping cost if you are posting it; buyers see it before they pay.
  3. Choose what you will take

Cash, trades, or both. If you accept trades, say what you are looking for β€” a specific want gets far better offers than β€œopen to offers”.

When it sells

  • The listing is reserved immediately, so nobody else can buy it.
  • You get a notification with the buyer's shipping details.
  • Post it, then mark it shipped β€” add tracking if you have it.
  • When the buyer confirms delivery, the money is released to you. If they go quiet, it releases automatically after the hold window.

The fee

Waypoint Realms takes 6% of a shipped sale. Stripe's own processing fee comes out on top, as it does anywhere. Local pickup sales cost you nothing, because we are not handling the money.

Offers and trades

Buyers can offer cash below asking, one of their own listings, or a swap plus cash. You see the whole proposal before deciding. Accepting reserves every item on both sides at once and declines the other open offers on that listing β€” so there is no window where two people think they have bought the same thing.

If a buyer disputes

The money stays held while we look. You will be asked to respond β€” tracking, photos of the item packed, the messages you exchanged. Being able to show what you sent is what resolves this, which is why marking shipped with tracking is worth the thirty seconds.

What not to list

No counterfeits or unauthorised reproductions, nothing you do not physically have, no digital codes or accounts, nothing illegal to post. Selling a fake β€” even unknowingly β€” ends with a refund and, if it happens twice, no more selling.

Keeping track

Your listings shows what is live, reserved and sold. Orders shows what you owe someone and what someone owes you. Payout history lives in Stripe, reachable from the same page.
