Collect references: the board, the bookmarklet and your phone
Upload or paste reference images onto a build's board with captions and categories, add links, and clip pictures from any site with the Clip to Waypoint button or your phone's share sheet.

Every build has a reference board. Images you put there are yours alone, even on a public build; links show to anyone who can see the build.
Before you start
- A build (see part 1).
Add a reference image
Open the uploader
Under references on the build, open + Add a reference image.Choose or paste a picture
Choose a file, or paste a picture copied from a browser tab.Caption and sort it
Add a Caption (optional) and pick a Category: Costume, Prop, Wig & makeup or Pose.
Check it worked
Add a link
Paste an address into the box under the board and press Add. Its title and preview picture are read once; nothing is copied or re-hosted (links stay un-stored — nothing is re-hosted).
Clip from a computer
Open Clip
Under the board, press Clip references from the web ›.Install the button
Under On a computer, drag Clip to Waypoint to your browser's bookmarks bar. Don't press it on this page — it clips the page you're on.Clip something
On any page with a picture you like, press Clip to Waypoint in your bookmarks bar. A small window opens with the page's preview picture.Pick the build
Choose the Build, add a Caption (optional), and press Add to the reference board.

Add Waypoint Realms to your home screen
Once, from your browser's menu. This lets your phone share to it.Share the page
On the page or picture, use your browser's Share and choose Waypoint Realms.Send it to a build
On Shared to Waypoint Realms, choose Add it to a cosplay build's references ›, then pick the build as above.
What the clip takes
If something's off
- “No picture came with this link…”
- The page had no picture the clip could use. You can still add it; the page's own preview is used if it has one.
- “References go on a build, and you have none yet.”
- Start a build first, then clip again.
- “Drag it to your bookmarks bar rather than pressing it here…”
- You pressed the button on the Clip page. Drag it to the bookmarks bar instead.
- “Enter a valid link.”
- Paste the whole address, starting with https://.
