The Compendium answers βwhat does that do again?β without leaving the table. It holds the D&D 5e SRD β spells, magic items, conditions and feats β for the 2024 and the 2014 rules. For what is and isn't in it, see the Compendium overview.
Before you start
- Know which rules your table plays: 2024 (the current Player's Handbook) or 2014.
Look it up
Open the Compendium
In the TTRPG Realm's rail, choose Compendium.Pick the section
Choose a tab: Spells, Magic items, Conditions or Feats.Pick the rules
In the rules list, choose 2024 rules (SRD 5.2.1) or 2014 rules (SRD 5.1). It opens on 2024. Switching clears the other filters, because the two editions sort some things differently.Search or filter
Type in the search box (Search spells⦠on the Spells tab), or narrow the list: School and level for spells (Any level by default), Type and rarity for magic items (Any rarity), Category for conditions and feats.Open the entry
Press a card to read the full entry.
Check it worked
The entry opens with its full text and says which rules it comes from.

From a character sheet
On a D&D 5e sheet, the β beside a spell or item opens its Compendium entry for the sheet's own rules edition, in a new tab, so your unsaved sheet stays put.
If something's off
- The search comes back empty
- Check the rules list: some entries exist in one edition only. If it still isn't there, it's probably not SRD content β the Compendium carries the open SRD, not every published book.
- My filters disappeared
- Changing the rules edition clears school, level and the other filters on purpose. Set them again.
