A LARP character is not just a sheet — it is a sheet, a costume, a pile of props, and a progression that has to survive between events months apart. The Character & Costume Planner keeps all of that in one place, and it is private to you.

Building a character

The character
Name, system, faction and level, plus the concept in a line — “ranger-scout of the borderlands” is more useful at an event than three paragraphs of backstory.
The costume, makeup and props
Plan what the character actually looks like alongside who they are. This is the list that becomes a build plan, and the props on it are the ones you will need to make and get safety-checked.
Progression
Track XP, skills and awards as they accumulate. Between two events six months apart, this is the record that tells you what your character can actually do.
Print a character card
Generate a printable card to carry at the event — the details you need in play, without your phone.

Private to you

Characters here are yours alone. To share a roster with the people you play alongside, use a faction instead — that is the surface built for a group.

The kit & gear checklist

The kit list is the right place for the things that keep the weekend survivable rather than immersive — spare socks, a phone battery, painkillers, and whatever your site is always cold or wet enough to need.
