This Yondu Udonta is a blue-skinned Centaurian space pirate who captains the Ravagers in the present-day Marvel Universe, a distant ancestor of the 31st-century Guardian of the same name. When a young Peter Quill was stranded and tried to steal his ship, Yondu chose to spare him. Learning the boy was an orphan, he let Quill stay aboard as a cabin hand and later made him a full Ravager. His crew shaped Quill into the rogue who would become Star-Lord.

- Whistle-controlled arrows: directs yaka arrows in flight by whistling
