Laura Kinney was created by the Facility as a female clone of Wolverine, carried to term by scientist Sarah Kinney and raised as a living weapon. Conditioned to kill when exposed to a trigger scent, she was forced to murder her own mother before escaping. Laura found refuge with the X-Men and served on X-Force and in Avengers Academy. After Logan's death she adopted the Wolverine name, mentoring her younger clone sister Gabby, and has since continued as one of mutantkind's most capable fighters.

- Healing factor: regenerates rapidly from almost any injury
- Adamantium claws: two in each hand and one in each foot
- Heightened senses: animal-keen smell, sight and hearing
- Enhanced physicality: strength, agility and reflexes beyond human norms
- Combat mastery: trained since childhood as an elite assassin
- Trigger-scent conditioning: a chemical scent once forced her into a killing frenzy
