Wonder Man

Simon Williams inherited his father's munitions company but drove it toward ruin and was jailed for embezzlement. Baron Zemo freed him and bathed him in ionic energy, turning him into Wonder Man so he could betray the Avengers. Simon instead sacrificed himself to save them. His brain patterns were later used to create the Vision, and he eventually revived as a being of pure ionic energy. He became a longtime Avenger and Hollywood actor, though he has sometimes clashed with the team over its methods.
