Edward Charles Allan "Eddie" Brock

Eddie Brock was a reporter whose career collapsed after Spider-Man exposed his story on the Sin-Eater as false. Bitter and alone, he bonded with the alien symbiote Spider-Man had rejected, and the two shared hatred made them Venom. Over time he shifted into a violent antihero calling himself a lethal protector. Brock later became Anti-Venom, hosted Toxin, reunited with Venom, killed the dark god Knull to become King in Black, and has since carried the Carnage symbiote.
Powers and abilities
- Symbiote strength: bond with the alien gives him strength rivaling or exceeding Spider-Man
- Wall-crawling: clings to walls and ceilings like a spider
- Organic webbing: shoots web-like strands produced by the symbiote
- Shapeshifting: forms tendrils, weapons and camouflage from the costume
- Spider-sense immunity: does not trigger Spider-Man's danger sense
- Anti-Venom healing: as Anti-Venom he could purge toxins and harm symbiotes
- Weakness: vulnerable to fire and intense sound
