Orphaned Peter Parker was raised by his aunt May and uncle Ben in Queens, and a bite from a radioactive spider gave him extraordinary powers. After he selfishly let a burglar escape who later killed Uncle Ben, Peter vowed to use his gifts responsibly as Spider-Man. He has balanced heroics with school, money troubles and love, facing foes like the Green Goblin, Doctor Octopus and Venom. His career includes the Clone Saga, time with the Avengers and Fantastic Four, running Parker Industries and a long relationship with Mary Jane Watson.
