Ms. Marvel

Kamala Khan

  • Ms. Marvel
  • Known to Authorities

Kamala Khan is a Pakistani-American Muslim teenager from Jersey City whose hidden Inhuman heritage awoke when she was caught in the Terrigen Mist, leaving her able to stretch and reshape her body. Inspired by her idol Carol Danvers, she adopted the Ms. Marvel name and quickly became a symbol of a new generation of heroes. She served with the Avengers, founded and led the Champions, and balanced superheroics with school and family. After she died and was revived, she learned she was also a mutant and joined the X-Men.

Powers and abilities

  • Polymorphing: stretches, enlarges or shrinks her body and limbs at will
  • Shapeshifting: alters her appearance to look like other people
  • Healing factor: recovers quickly from injuries, though it drains her elasticity
  • Bioluminescence: her body glows while she uses her powers
  • Hard-light constructs: her mutant side lets her form solid light shields and an exoskeleton
  • Biokinetic suit: a costume made from a polymer that stretches along with her
