Moon Knight
Marc Spector
- Moon Knight
- Secret
Marc Spector was a mercenary left for dead in the Egyptian desert, where the moon god Khonshu revived him and named him his avatar. Returning to the United States, he became Moon Knight, a vigilante who protects night travelers while juggling the separate identities of millionaire Steven Grant and cab driver Jake Lockley. His dissociative identity disorder and his uneasy bond with Khonshu drive much of his story, and he has worked both alone and with teams like the West Coast Avengers and Secret Avengers. He later founded the Midnight Mission and continues to return from death.
Powers and abilities
- Khonshu's favor: the Egyptian moon god has resurrected him repeatedly and at times boosted his strength with the moon
- Telepathic resistance: his fractured mind makes him very hard for telepaths to read or control
- Pain tolerance: he can keep fighting through injuries that would stop most people
- Combat expertise: a former Marine, boxer and mercenary skilled in hand-to-hand fighting
- Weapons mastery: an expert marksman who favors crescent darts, a truncheon and throwing blades
- Detective skills: an experienced investigator and interrogator who works the streets as several personas
- Armored costume: Kevlar and later adamantium armor with a gliding cloak
