Yuriko Oyama is the daughter of Kenji Oyama, a scientist who developed an early process for bonding adamantium to bone, which she believed was stolen to create Wolverine. Seeking to restore her family's honor, she became the cyborg assassin Lady Deathstrike after Spiral's Body Shop rebuilt her with metal claws. She has hunted Wolverine relentlessly, working with the Reavers, William Stryker's Purifiers and the Sisterhood of Mutants. In later years she joined the Weapon X program and the mercenary Wolverines team.

  • Adamantium claws: extendable claws from her fingertips
  • Adamantium skeleton: nearly unbreakable bones
  • Cyborg body: superhuman strength, speed and reflexes
  • Healing: cybernetic regenerative abilities
  • Cyberpathy: can interface with computer systems
  • Swordsmanship: expert in kenjutsu and samurai combat
  • Mental resistance: shielded against telepathy and mind control
