Bobby Drake is an Omega-level mutant whose ice powers emerged when he froze a bully to protect his girlfriend, prompting Scott Summers to recruit him to Professor Xavier's school. As one of the five founding X-Men he was long the team's youngest joker, later serving with the Champions, the Defenders and X-Factor. A meeting with his time-displaced younger self led him to come out as gay, and his powers have grown to near-elemental levels. During the Fall of X he was nearly destroyed at the Hellfire Gala but survived to fight Orchis.
Powers and abilities
- Cryokinesis: lowers temperatures to freeze moisture around him
- Ice generation: creates slides, walls, weapons and constructs of ice
- Organic ice form: transforms his body into living ice
- Water manipulation: controls water in its liquid and frozen states
- Reformation: regenerates his body from moisture after injury
- Ice clones: produces independent duplicates of himself
- Cold immunity: unaffected by extreme cold
