Angel

Warren Kenneth Worthington III

  • Archangel
  • Public

Born into a wealthy family, Warren Worthington III sprouted wings as a teenager and became a founding member of Professor Xavier's original X-Men. He later bankrolled teams such as the Champions, Defenders, and X-Factor. After losing his wings in an attack orchestrated by Cameron Hodge, he was remade by Apocalypse into the Horseman Death, gaining razor-edged metal wings and the name Archangel. Over the years he has struggled with that dark persona, lost and regained his memories, and served as a business leader for Krakoa's X-Corp.

Powers and abilities

  • Winged flight: large feathered wings let him fly at high speed and altitude
  • Enhanced physiology: hollow bones and adapted body grant above-human stamina and durability for flight
  • Healing factor: his blood can heal himself and others
  • Techno-organic wings: as Archangel his metal wings fire paralyzing razor-sharp flechettes
  • Archangel persona: a darker state with bladed wings and greater combat ferocity
  • Aerial combat: expert flier and fighter in the air
  • Wealth and business skill: runs a multi-billion-dollar company that funds hero teams
