Respawn

A respawn is when a character who has been taken out of a fight returns to play, usually after going to a set point, common in battle-focused larps.

In battle games, when your character is taken out, you often go to a set respawn point instead of sitting out the rest of the game. There you wait, or do something simple such as counting, then come back into the fight. How long you wait, how many times you can return and where the respawn point is all vary between games, and some move it during the battle. Respawn points get crowded, so watch for people around you and follow the refs' or marshals' instructions on when it is safe to go back in.
