Debrief

A debrief is a conversation after a larp ends where everyone steps out of character, says how they are feeling and helps each other return to everyday life.

A debrief marks the clear end of play. It can be short, such as a circle where each person says a word or a sentence about how they feel, or it can leave time to talk through moments that moved or unsettled people. The aim is to help everyone land after an intense experience. If something during the game troubled you, the debrief is a good moment to mention it, or you can speak to an organiser privately afterwards. Each game sets its own aftercare, so ask what to expect.
