Megumi wears the Jujutsu High uniform: a dark navy-black jacket with a high stand collar and spiral-design buttons, matching straight trousers and plain dark shoes. The uniform has little surface decoration, so neat construction and a good fit do most of the work. His hair is black and spiky, pointing out in several directions. A medium-weight twill or suiting fabric holds the stand collar well, especially with interfacing in the collar. Make a mock-up in cheap fabric to check the collar height and sleeve length before you cut your real fabric. Plain dark school trousers can be bought and hemmed instead of sewn. Spiral-design buttons are sold for this uniform, or plain dark buttons will do. Start with a short black wig and build the spikes section by section with a strong-hold wig styling spray or gel, letting each section set before moving on. A pre-styled wig saves a lot of time. Use styling sprays in a well-ventilated room and away from open flames. If you heat-style the wig, check the fibre is heat-resistant, follow the wig's own guidance and keep the tool moving. Younger makers should have an adult help with heat tools.
