The hand is a starting point. Fold what nobody fancies, keep what might follow, and turn the pick into a game night your table can RSVP to.

Before you start

Work the hand

  1. Skip what nobody wants

Press Skip on a card — or swipe it left on a phone, or press ←. Skip the pick and the next card becomes ★ Oracle's pick.
  2. Shortlist what might follow

The pick starts on the shortlist. Press Shortlist › on another card — or swipe it right, or press → — and it reads Shortlisted ✓.
  3. Check the evening fits

Press Shortlist (N) to jump to the shortlist bar: each game with its time, and a total such as 2h 30m total · fits your 3h with 30m to spare.
  4. Want a fresh hand?

    Press Deal again.

Check it worked

Skipped games are listed under the hand as Folded: …. Fold all four and it says Every card folded. Deal again for a new hand.

Make it a game night

  1. Start the session

Press Play this on the pick, or Create tonight's session under the hand — that uses the first game on your shortlist.
  2. Fill in the rest

Organize a session opens with the Game already chosen and the activity set to Board game. Add a title, the date and time, a place and the seats, as for any session (see Host your first session).
  3. Create it

Press Create session, then invite your table.

Check it worked

The session's page shows the pick under Tonight's game. Once you're going, you also see the Oracle's reason, and Then, if time with two more games from the hand.

Teach times and shelf gaps (Plus)

On Plus and Pro, each card adds a line such as Teach: ≈15 min (Kai) — who at the table can teach it and roughly how long — and the shortlist total includes teaching time. Under the hand, Nobody owns these — but you all want them lists games on the table's want-lists that nobody at the table owns, each linked to its page; untick Show gaps to hide it. On Free, a card's reason can still say who can teach it, and the hand already allows time to teach.

If something's off

Shortlist (N) is greyed out
Nothing is shortlisted — the pick was skipped and nothing else was added. Shortlist a card first.
The session form only filled in the game
That's all the Oracle passes on. Title, date, place and seats are yours to set.
“30m over your 2h”
The shortlist runs past the time you gave. Skip one, or choose a longer time and deal again.
