Publishing a Studio comic happens in two places: the Studio sends the pages for review, and the Publishing console makes them live.
Before you start
Send it for review
Send it
At the foot of the page wall, under Publish, press Send this issue for review. It renders each page and packages them.Watch it in the console
Press Check the status in the publishing console →. The pages are unpacked and screened — usually a few minutes.
Check it worked
It reads Processed, or Held for review while a moderator checks it — you get A chapter needs review when it's cleared or paused.
Publish it
Set the credits
In the console, on the series' page, under Credits & revenue split, add everyone who made it — the shares must total 100%, even for a free comic — and press Save credits.Publish the series
Press Publish at the top of the series' page.Publish the issue
Press the issue's own Publish, or Schedule it for later.
Check it worked
The issue is in the Bindery, and readers who pull the series get New chapter out. More on the console: title setup and review and after.
If something's off
- “This chapter is waiting on a moderator…”
- Wait for the review; you're notified when it's done. Approval doesn't publish it — press Publish then.
- “Your revenue shares don't add up to 100%…”
- Fix the credits so they total 100% and save them.
- “Draw a page before publishing this issue.”
- The issue has no drawable pages yet.
- “The Comics Publisher Agreement has been updated…”
- Accept the new version in the Publishing console, then publish again.
- “Priced titles need a payout account set up first…”
- This title or issue has a price and your payout account isn't ready. Finish Get paid, or set it back to Free to read under Pricing on the series' page.
