A series holds issues; an issue holds pages. Some choices here are for good, so make them with care.

Before you start

  • A publishing identity (see part 1).

Create a series

  1. Name it

Under New series, a Title and a URL; a Synopsis and up to 8 comma-separated Genres help readers find it.
  2. Set its shape

Unit (Issues, Chapters, Episodes or Volumes), Layout (Paged or Vertical scroll) and Reading direction. These three can't be changed later.
  3. Rate it honestly

Content rating: All ages, Teen (13+), Teen+ (16+) or Mature (18+) — readers' age settings depend on it. Tick any Content warnings that apply.
  4. Disclose AI

Tick This work was made substantially with generative AI if it was — a label shown to readers, not a restriction.
  5. Create it

    Press Create series.

Add an issue

  1. Open the series

    Press it on your shelf.
  2. Number it

Under Add an issue (or a chapter, an episode…), give it a number — text, so “1”, “1.5” and “Annual” all work — and an optional Name. Press Add ….
  3. Open it

Press the new issue to open its page wall.

Build the page wall

  1. Add pages

Pick a New page layout — Blank, or one of the eight layouts — and press Add page.
  2. Arrange them

On each page: ← / → move it, ⧉ duplicates it (to the end), ✕ deletes it.
  3. Draw a cover

Press Draw a cover. It's published as the first page and shown as the issue's cover; without one, the first page stands in.
  4. Open the editor

Press Open the editor (or Open the issue editor ↗ for full screen).

Check it worked

Each page shows on the wall as Page …, ready for panels.

If something's off

“You already have a title with that URL.”
Choose a different URL.
“Delete page … of this issue? This can't be undone.”
Deleting a page is for good. Press Cancel if you didn't mean it.
“… has reached the …-page limit…”
Start a new issue for the rest.
