Track XP, skills and awards, and print a character card

Log experience gained and spent, the skills you've bought and the awards you've earned, then print a character card to carry at the event.

Between two events months apart, the ledger is what tells you what your character can actually do. Every entry saves as you add it.

Before you start

  • A character in the planner (see part 1).

Log experience

  1. Open Progression

Pick the character; the Progression tab opens first.
  2. Add an entry

Under Experience, enter XP ± — a minus sign for XP spent or lost — with a Reason (for example Attended Winter War) and a Date, and press Add.

Check it worked

The entry is listed as +8 or -3, newest first, and Total XP updates.

Skills and awards

  1. Add a skill

Under Skills & abilities, enter the Skill, its Rank and what it Cost in XP, and press Add.
  2. Add an award

Under Awards & titles, enter the Title, choose a Kind (Award, Title, Rank, Honor or Other), add the Date and who granted it in By, and press Add.

Check it worked

Skills read like Two-handed weapons · rank 2 · 6 XP; awards like Order of the Rose · Award · Duchess Maren.

Entries can't be edited: to fix one, press Remove, confirm, and add it again. A skill's cost doesn't come off your XP total on its own — log the spend as a minus entry if you track it that way.

  1. Open the card

On the character's page, press Printable card.
  2. Print it

Press Print card and print, or save it as a PDF from the print dialog.

Check it worked

The card has the name, faction, system, chapter and level, the concept, the XP ledger and total, skills, awards, and your costume, makeup and props plans — without the rest of the page. Notes and the record link stay off it.

Packing for the event? Use the kit checklist.

If something's off

“Enter an XP amount other than 0…”
An entry needs a gain or a spend. Whole numbers only.
“Couldn't save the entry. Try again.”
Check the skill or award has a name or title, then try again.

Characters are private to you, so the card only opens for you. Print it or save it as a PDF to share it.
