A project keeps a comic's team together: who's on it, in which role, and who gets credited. Nobody joins without both sides agreeing.

Before you start

  • A Waypoint account, signed in.
  • Your collaborators' usernames — or a listing that found them (see part 1).

Start a project

  1. Create it

On the Collab Board, press New project. Give it a Project title, a Logline (optional) and a Genre (optional).
  2. Choose who can find it

Visibility: Public — others can find it and request to join — or Private — invite only. Press Create project.

Check it worked

It's under My projects, with you on its team as Owner.

Build the team

  1. Invite someone

On the project, under Invite by username, type their username, pick a role, and press Invite. They get You're invited to a comic project and accept or decline.
  2. Or approve a request

On a public project, others can Request to join. Under Requests, press Approve or Decline.
  3. Set roles and credits

Under Team, change a member's role, Credit or Uncredit them, or Remove them.

Check it worked

The Credits list shows each credited member as Role: name. Pending invites wait under Invited, with Cancel invite.

Invited to someone else's project? Its page shows You're invited with Accept and Decline; Leave project takes you off later.

If something's off

“No member has that username.”
Check the spelling — it's their @username, not their display name.
“You're already on this project.”
They're on the team already.
“Only the project owner can invite people.”
Ask the project's owner to send the invite.
