Background

Born in the far-future setting of New Japan, @x aligned himself with the Raddies, a faction opposed to the established order that Rai serves to protect. Contracted to bring down Rai, @x proved dangerous enough to warrant the assignment, though his first confrontation ended badly: Rai decapitated him and cast his severed head down to Earth below.

Rather than perishing from this defeat, @x adapted. His still-functional cybernetic head became a rallying point for a devoted following called the @xioms, who revered him under the title The Øracle. From this unlikely position he continued to exert influence and pursue his vendetta against Rai.

Final Confrontation

When @x engineered a second encounter with Rai, he resorted to a last, desperate measure — attempting to self-detonate his head in order to take Rai down with him. The gambit ultimately failed; Lemur intervened and hurled the head away with only a moment to spare, ending @x's existence before he could claim his target.

Powers & Abilities

As a cyborg, @x possessed the enhanced physical capabilities and resilience typical of advanced 41st-century cybernetic augmentation. Even after decapitation, his head retained enough functionality to communicate, lead followers, and ultimately attempt a self-destruct sequence — suggesting his systems were heavily integrated with redundant survival and offensive hardware.

Affiliations

@x operated within the orbit of the Raddies, a group at odds with the forces maintaining order aboard New Japan. His personal cult, the @xioms, coalesced around him after his fall, treating his disembodied state as something almost prophetic — hence the epithet The Øracle.
