Allen was born in an unknown Unopan breeding camp, the product of a species engineered for combat and resilience. The Unopan people were shaped by their history of conflict, and Allen's extraordinary physical development set him apart even among his kind. He became a citizen of Talescria and built his career in service to the Coalition of Planets, an interstellar alliance dedicated to resisting threats that endanger member worlds.

His early role had him traveling from planet to planet as a Champion Evaluation Officer, assessing whether a world's greatest hero was capable of standing against the Viltrumite Empire. This work eventually brought him into contact with Mark Grayson — Invincible — forging a friendship that would prove pivotal to both characters' futures.

Standing 6'4" and weighing in at 375 pounds, Allen cuts an unmistakable figure. He possesses a single large eye with a red iris, red skin, and a hairless head.
